The court-based issues subcommittee met virtually on March 12, 2026. Members voted to forward two recommendations to the larger council: (1) require victim notification when a person files to modify or vacate a standing criminal protective order (Conn. Gen. Stat. 54-227/54-228); and (2) expand clerk-office redactions to include other identifying information for certain victims (Conn. Gen. Stat. 1-210B3). The group also flagged two recently passed state bills affecting domestic violence case coding and protective-order procedures.
