The California State Senate Education Committee reviewed 20 bills ranging from student data privacy and part-time faculty health benefits to Native student data collection, mental-health training for coaches, K–12 anti-trafficking curriculum updates, and campus housing priority for foster and homeless students. Multiple measures were voted out of committee and referred to appropriations or other committees.
