Roanoke City School Board held its annual organizational meeting on July 14, 2026. The board conducted roll call, approved procedural items and personnel, elected its chair and vice chair, approved several appointments and the VHSL membership for two high schools, reviewed first-reading policy revisions and a quarterly constituent-services update, and received a financial forecast and discussion about a potential 1% local sales-tax referendum.
