At its Dec. 18 Rockport School Committee meeting, leaders heard a budget presentation that identified a roughly $1 million gap for FY26 and outlined proposed staffing and stipend reductions, and the committee approved a varsity hockey trip and appointed the director of student services. Committee members also reported progress on RESA contract talks and discussed middle-school reconfiguration in response to declining enrollment.
