Township authorizes manhole and sewer lining project on Webster Road

Jul 7, 2026

Board authorized a long‑planned manhole and sewer‑lining contract for Webster Road (Drumheller to Clark Road) to address concrete pipe degradation from hydrogen‑sulfide; superintendent and SCUMA director said the work will be staged to avoid full road closures, likely starting in late summer.

The full story

Bath Township trustees authorized the superintendent to proceed with the manhole and sewer rehabilitation project—part of a long‑term CIP—after a presentation from SCUMA Director Brad Gursky. Gursky said the project will line manholes and the concrete sewer main from Drumheller to Clark Road to slow deterioration caused by hydrogen‑sulfide and related sulfuric acid. “This project has been a long term CIP plan for Bath Township,” Gursky said, calling it the north‑side complement to a previous south‑side project.
