The full story

Township negotiators presented a tentative agreement with the supervisory bargaining unit (police supervisors) and recommended board approval. Counsel summarized several substantive changes: defined notice for shift changes, an overtime-equalization process, a clearer wage threshold system tying sergeant/lieutenant pay to the patrol wage table, vacation clarifications, inclusion of Juneteenth as a holiday, an outside-employment consent process with a short appeals window to the board, and adjustments to promotion/hiring language for lieutenant positions.
