District staff presented attendance figures to inform calendar decisions, saying the district will be required next year to meet an attendance threshold. The staff summary included specific weekly counts: "there were 79 absences during that week. Um the following week there were 43 and a half kids absent during the week. Um and then the next week there were 63," a superintendent said, noting that those patterns shaped thinking about whether to alter break timing.
