City staff presented a reorganized Land Development Code intended to consolidate definitions, reduce duplicative language and align local rules with Florida Statutes. "Pursuant to Florida statute 163.3202, we are required to adopt and enforce a land development regulation," the staff presenter said, framing the rewrite as required statutory compliance and a response to post-Hurricane Michael delays and subsequent piecemeal amendments.
