The Bothell Parks Board on Wednesday reviewed the first draft of the Wayne Open Space action plan, which staff described as an ecology‑forward framework that balances habitat restoration with select areas for public access and education. Presenters told the board the city acquired all 89 acres of the former Wayne Golf Course through partnerships and that the plan’s guiding ideas—connected communities, balanced passive and active uses, empowering ecology, and layered human experience—reflect community engagement.
