The Planning Commission recommended folding the draft noise ordinance into the zoning code, adopted a 75 dB daytime threshold for Highway Commercial and Planned Industrial districts based on police sound-monitoring, and preserved pet exemptions and weekend protections for residential areas.

Planning Commission member Nicole Zane said the township's sound-monitoring data informed proposed thresholds as the commission discussed how best to integrate noise limits into zoning. "Ambient roadside noise without active traffic measured approximately 65dB, with a median average around 75dB, and peak levels reaching up to 99dB when large trucks or semi-trailers passed," Zane reported, and the commission set a daytime threshold of 75 dB for HC and PI districts to align with those baselines.
