Council authorized advertising an RFP to hire a municipal engineer after the current firm was purchased and changed priorities; members asked the RFP to explicitly call out traffic calming/traffic design.

Manager told council the borough needs to seek a new municipal engineer because the current firm was acquired and is shifting away from municipal work. He described plans to issue an engineering-services RFP, make minor edits (including adding traffic-calming language in the traffic-design scope), conduct interviews and tentatively select an engineer at the April council meeting.
