The full story

The Physical Services Committee discussed an engineering‑service extension for County Road 31 (Switzer Hill/Switzerville Road) and directed the contractor to expand the study scope to include alternatives. Commissioner Mead reported DOT would not support the current intersection alignment and that options could require property acquisition or construction of a concrete box culvert. "I was determined that the condition of the road and the profile of the road and the intersection alignment to New York State DOT was not advisable," he said. (Speaker 10)
