Supervisor Bruce Kilmer updated the board on problems at a multi-county workforce development consortium that affect Vernon County’s potential exposure. Kilmer said the consortium had not filed certain state reports for 2019–2024, that the county recently received an IRS bill "in a bill for $28,000 because none of that paperwork had had also been correctly filed," and that an accounting firm named Dean Dorton quoted $47,000 to correct filings and cleanup work.
