The Porter County Board of Commissioners voted to approve local disaster emergency declarations dated Sept. 16, Sept. 23, and Sept. 30, 2026 "to keep ourselves current with the disaster, the cleanup, and everything," the chair said during the meeting. Commissioners moved and seconded the declarations and approved them by voice vote.
