On Sept. 14 the committee voted 3‑0 to recommend an ordinance that would exempt commercial‑to‑residential adaptive reuse projects from certain parking, bike parking, loading and frontage requirements to facilitate conversions into housing.

The Land Use & Transportation Committee recommended an ordinance to exempt certain commercial‑to‑residential adaptive reuse projects from parking, car‑share, loading and other development controls. Supervisor Dorsey moved the recommendation; the committee recorded three ayes and forwarded the ordinance to the full Board with a positive recommendation.
