After a public hearing Aug. 24 and follow-up discussion with consultant Scot Loyd, the Barber County Board of Commissioners approved the presented 2026 county budget; the board returned the budget to regular session the same day.

The Barber County Board of Commissioners voted Aug. 24 to approve the county's presented 2026 budget after a public hearing and responses from consultant Scot Loyd of the Loyd Group. Commissioner Mills moved to approve the budget and Commissioner Roe seconded; the motion carried.
