Trustees decided to prepare their own superintendent-evaluation questions rather than rely on an off-the-shelf vendor form; a work session to refine the process is scheduled for Sept. 9, with the district tour moved to October.

Board members agreed they prefer a locally tailored evaluation for the superintendent rather than a generic vendor form. One member said the board should compile its own questions so it "doesn't have somebody else coming here and say, well, this is the generic form that everybody in The US is using." The group discussed previous consultant presentations — some judged too expensive — and several members volunteered to research alternatives.
