Chair Robert Cartel described case 26043 as a petition to reduce both corner-side and rear-yard setbacks for a proposed detached shed. "This is a request for variation to reduce the corner side setback for proposed detached accessory building, namely a shed from 20 feet to approximately 1.5 feet," Cartel said when opening the Lopez petition, and he also recorded a requested rear-yard reduction to roughly 8.7 feet. The chair said the matter had been published in the record (transcript cites a 09/01/2026 notice) and that no county departments had objected at the time of the hearing.
