The Washington County Executive Committee approved a Brownfields Assessment Fund request to complete hazard testing at the former Prefke Bakes bridal site in West Bend. A presenter told the committee the request is for $12,475, with the city of West Bend providing a 20% match; the presenter also said the county’s Brownfields fund has $90,195 available and that staff expect to draw those funds down until an anticipated $1,500,000 EPA assessment grant becomes available early next year.
