Select Board accepts mowing and Valley Road mulching bids

At the Aug. 24 meeting the Jefferson Select Board accepted two maintenance bids for roadside work. Jigger Clark moved to accept a bid from Nathan Northup for mowing and mulching; Pam Grotton seconded and the motion passed (vote recorded in the minutes as 2-0-1). The board then accepted a bid from Road Commissioner Wayne Johnston; the minutes record Jigger Clark moving to accept Wayne Johnston's bid of $3,000 to mulch and trim on Valley Road, with Claudia Orff-Reed seconding and the motion passing 3-0.
