Board debates whether DeKalb ethics code covers temporary, non-benefited workers
Members and counsel disagreed over whether DeKalb Countys ethics code applies to temporary employees; staff said the code text 'does not include temporary employees,' while general counsel observed the codes definition may still reach those workers. At the Sept. 17 meeting Board members and counsel discussed a formal request from the director of Community Development (Alan Mitchell) asking whether section 22(a)(e) of the county ethics code applies to temporary, non-benefited employees limited to six months.
