Fire Chief Jeff Anderson told the council at the Sept. 9 work session that the new fire‑station construction is underway and the department has added part‑time staff who have completed training. Chief Anderson said he “had interviewed and approved the hiring of Jarred Moore as a part‑time Major position” and described the duties the new major will take on alongside Major Matt Brown and Firefighter Coleman, who have started a junior firefighter program.
