Board members pressed staff to align the district's mental‑health service policy with state law governing minor consent and mandatory reporting. A portion of the meeting focused on whether the policy's instruction that "parents and guardians must be notified and give consent for any mental health or medical service provided to the child during instructional access" conflicted with Pennsylvania Act 147 of 2004, which grants certain consent rights to students aged 14 and older.
