Prosecuting Attorney Greg Zempel told the Kittitas County Board of Commissioners on Aug. 3 that the office "anticipates a vacancy effective October 1" and has opened recruitment to fill the position. The announcement came during a quarterly administrative update at a special meeting called for Prosecuting Attorney's Office staff to brief the board.
