The Meriwether County Board of Commissioners voted on Sept. 14 to deny a rezoning request (Case PC26-001) that would have converted 36.81 acres from Rural Reserve to R‑1 to allow 1.5‑acre lots. Staff had recommended conditional approval if the applicant supplied written confirmation of water-service capacity from the Town of Lone Oak and the Meriwether County Water Authority.
