Council notes completion of radio and CAD reporting upgrades

Council reported completion of an EMS Ops interoperability upgrade including a $40,000 repeater, new radios, a hospital roof antenna, and three months of CAD-linked ambulance status reporting enabling improved data exports and countywide interoperability.

The Council reported a multi-part communications upgrade that the Chair described as a long-standing priority for improved data collection and interoperability. "The 911 Board allocated $40,000 for a new repeater at the tower and a new frequency," the Chair said, and members noted a new radio at dispatch was funded through Regional Healthcare Coalition funds while a hospital roof antenna was installed at the end of May 2026.
