County adopts updated municipal solid-waste plan; secures small DCNR grant increase for Sweet Arrow Lake

Director of Real Estate and Engineering Lisa Mahall asked the board to adopt Draft #4 of the 2026 Municipal Solid Waste Management Plan as the county’s official plan under Pennsylvania Act 101. The plan is intended to ensure adequate permitted processing and disposal capacity for county‑generated waste during a 10‑year planning horizon; draft copies are available from the County Solid Waste office and have been distributed to municipalities for review.
