The Smith County Commission on Oct. 21 set a target start date of April 1 for an overhaul of P Road after Commissioner Jim Gwennap said the roadway "is continually getting worse." The board heard from Assistant Road Supervisor Travis Story, who said completing the project will require purchasing an additional semi.
