The board discussed disposition of county surplus property and reviewed the governing resolution and disposition guidelines. After deliberation, the minutes state: "At this time, the commissioners will move forward with Rural ReDevelopment Group LLC and plan to transfer the property ownership to them for the purpose of housing." The commissioners said they believe the transfer serves the community's needs and opened a public comment period through Dec. 9, 2024.
