After emergency roof repairs removed 13‑year‑old solar panels from town hall, the board approved a vendor proposal to replace the removed modules with newer panels that deliver similar or better output with roughly half the number of modules, updated inverters and modern rapid‑shutdown safety features and warranties. The supervisor said the hard cost of panels has dropped substantially and that newer equipment offers better performance and a 25‑year warranty.
