Bennet council adopts updated Hazard Mitigation Plan
The Bennet City Council adopted an updated city Hazard Mitigation Plan (Resolution 2025-11.3) after staff outlined changes; council vote was unanimous among members present.

Mayor Ryan Cheney introduced an updated Hazard Mitigation Plan and presented Resolution 2025-11.3 to adopt it. City Engineer Brian Schuele described the changes contained in the update; the minutes record that the council then voted to adopt the plan. Councilmember Pete Simmons moved to approve Resolution 2025-11.3 and Councilmember Dan Zieg seconded; the roll call vote recorded Yes: Josh Buck, Jesse Schmidt, Pete Simmons and Dan Zieg. The resolution was adopted.
