Staff reported one public comment asking the city to reconsider the requirement that an engineering analysis be submitted to exceed 30% compact spaces in a parking lot. Sandy Belson explained the current code specifies compact spaces (for example, 8 by 16 feet) and that the engineering report requirement is intended to justify how many compact spaces are appropriate for specific uses based on turnover and vehicle types.
