Rather than approve Plant Moran’s full professional-services agreement (which included staffing and financial components), the committee voted to amend the motion and reissue an RFP limited to a financial audit; the original Plant Moran motion was then voted down.

The committee considered a professional-services agreement with Plant Moran that included both a staffing assessment and a financial audit. Several members said it was premature to undertake a staffing audit now because the new superintendent is already preparing staffing information and the district may be better served by a narrower, financial-only audit. One member moved to amend the Plant Moran motion to instead reissue an RFP for a financial-services audit only; another member seconded.
