Council adopts several consent and code items including firearm-code conforming language; appointment confirmed
On Sept. 17 the council approved multiple consent items, adopted a second-reading ordinance vacating public right-of-way (VAC 26-15), appointed Peter Fertig to a Barrio Latino Commission seat, and adopted a code update omitting firearm references to conform with Florida Statute 790.33.

Tampa City Council moved through the consent agenda and approved a number of motions and appointments during the morning session. Clerks and councilmembers recorded motions to adopt minutes, continue a small set of agenda items, and approve consent blocks across items 5–50; several items were set for separate votes where requested.
