Cyndi Overby of Local Probation/Pretrial Services told the committee she had submitted comments on the draft financial policy manual’s grants section and questioned who would be responsible for identifying grant opportunities, noting the County does not currently employ a full‑time grant writer. Finance Director Margaret Lindsey said staff was not fully committed to every component of Task 2G and was evaluating which items could be completed internally; she pointed to the upcoming RFP for external audit services as an example of work the County might handle without outside consultants.
