City administration presented an amendment packet worth about $65.2 million over two years and said the city faces a $158 million structural gap in FY2028; staff asked council to prioritize proposed restorations and provide direction for balancing FY2027 and FY2028.

Josina Tate of city administration summarized the amendment process and the city’s fiscal outlook, saying the administration has held eight working sessions and two public hearings since Aug. 13 and is presenting a package of amendments that total roughly $65.2 million over two years. “Para el año 2027, que es un año fiscal de reto… tenemos una déficit de 158000000 para el año 2028,” she said.
