City finance staff explained a revised check-register format intended to provide more up-to-date reporting by presenting transactions in check-run ranges and including ACH reference numbers. The council discussed ordering and date conventions for check runs and electronic payments, and staff acknowledged some legacy inconsistencies and voids that are being corrected.
