The board approved an amendment to the Practicale Inc. agreement to enable district staff (school psychologists, speech and language pathologists and similar clinicians) to bill health insurance and Medi‑Cal for medically billable services. Administration described the billing system, regulatory complexity and an example calculation: roughly $30M in total allowable costs yields an estimated allowable reimbursement near $4.5M for eligible services after cost allocations.
