Jackson County Commissioners on Jan. 26 authorized Vice Chairman Rhet Johnson to pursue preliminary due diligence — including requesting an appraisal — to evaluate a potential real property purchase for District 3. The motion to authorize the due diligence was made by Commissioner Kirk Butler and seconded by Chairman Mike Wallace; all three commissioners voted aye.
