Mobile probation unit update requested, delivery still expected in January

Council member Robert Parkinson asked that circuit administrator Patrick Barentine brief the full council in November on the county's mobile probation unit, saying the vehicle is expected to be delivered in January and may merit a ribbon-cutting ceremony in early 2026. Parkinson asked staff to add the item to the Nov. 20 agenda.

Robert Parkinson, committee member, asked the Public Safety Coordinating Council Executive Council to add a November update from circuit administrator Patrick Barentine on the Department of Corrections' mobile probation unit, saying the project "is getting very close to completion" and that the vehicle is still "targeting January for the vehicle to be delivered." Parkinson told the council he expected a delivery in January and proposed scheduling a ribbon-cutting ceremony in January or February.
