Residents press planning commission on transparency, data-center impacts and ethics

Several members of the public used the meeting’s public-comment period to push the commission and city staff for clearer information about zoning determinations and potential environmental and health impacts from data-center development. Tony Dash (speaker 6) said he was “dumbfounded” by the speed of agenda placement and raised concerns after reviewing campaign-finance records: “I don’t like reviewing the mayor's campaign finance records and finding out that the special counsel was a donor to the mayor's campaign,” he said, adding that he was not alleging illegality but urging public discussion and ethics review.
