Board members reviewed grant-funded positions already in county operations and discussed pursuing federal and state grants to support personnel — notably SAFER for fire/EMS staffing and other personnel programs. One supervisor suggested breaking potential personnel grants into a list for specific staff to pursue, and asked whether staff could work with legislators and grant-writing consultants ahead of the next funding cycle.
