County presenter explains how gasoline pump testing and seals protect drivers

A county staff presenter walked supervisors through how the county tests retail fuel dispensers and what residents should know about accuracy and skimmer risks. The presenter said the county inspects tests for common fuel grades (including 87–94 octane and E85) and that county staff use a five‑gallon test with an allowable tolerance of plus or minus six cubic inches. “The total number of retail fuel establishments in the county is 62. The number of retail and fleet dispensers in the county is 744,” the presenter said.
