Council authorizes design/oversight contract for Veterans Park extension

Public Works Contract Administrator Matia Malberg told council the city published an RFQ on April 22 and a scoring committee reviewed six proposals. HHPR scored highest (86.83 out of 100) and staff recommended contracting with HHPR for design and construction oversight of Veterans Park Extension Phase One. Malberg said the city received a $1 million grant from the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department to fund the construction portion of the project.
