The Commission unanimously approved a rezoning and conditional‑use request (Z26‑0085) to recognize an existing animal rescue operation on approximately 7.12 acres, including requested variances from standard setbacks. Applicant Lisa Kerio told commissioners the property at 5531 Hillview Drive has been used for about 12 years to care for rescued farm and companion animals — "a working agricultural and animal care property focused on long‑term sanctuary stewardship and humane care." She described animals ranging from horses and goats to alpacas and noted many are elderly or have medical needs.
