The Administrator told commissioners the county issued roughly $11,400,000 in contract awards for 72 group-home placements for the 18-month term covering Jan. 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026. To date, through January–September 2024, the county had expended about $3,700,000 — roughly 32% of the contracted amounts — prompting discussion about budgeting practice.
