Pratt County officials say they have not held private talks with data-center developers
At a Sept. 8 public hearing, county staff denied rumors that Pratt County was negotiating with data-center companies, saying any contact would trigger public zoning and commission hearings and full public notice.

Residents asked multiple times whether the county had been contacted by data-center developers. A staff member (speaker 4) responded directly: "The county is not talking to any company about a data center," and added that if a company were to approach the county it would be handled through zoning and public hearings.
