County staff and partners presented a localized economic-mobility framework adapted from the Urban Institute, a live community data dashboard, and 10 recommended strategies (anchor institutions, career pipelines, housing stabilization and service navigation) to advance shared prosperity across San Mateo County.

The Board heard a study session Sept. 15 on a countywide shared prosperity framework and action plan developed by the Shared Prosperity Coordinating Council. Shereen Malik, the county’s Chief Equity Officer and director of economic mobility, introduced a multi-part presentation featuring NOVAworks, Samaritan House, Silicon Valley Community Foundation and REACH Coalition.
