Trustees examined how operating millage mechanics and historical rollback calculations affect revenue capacity. Rob Taylor explained that as a charter township Bath may levy up to 5 mills but is currently assessing about 3.5 mills. He said the township might be able to raise a portion of mills without voter approval if a gap exists between what is levied and the local maximum allowable; otherwise a voter override is required.
