Court awards Sole Alcohol Service Provider contract to KVL Opportunity; competitor requests reconsideration
The court awarded RFP 26MCO671 (Sole Alcohol Service Provider) to KVL Opportunity, LLC; Out West Live, LLC owner Sean Elphick asked the court to reconsider, citing prior investment at the Horseshoe, but the motion passed with Somers voting against and the award upheld.

Purchasing Agent Kristy Engeldahl recommended KVL Opportunity, LLC for RFP 26MCO671 (Sole Alcohol Service Provider). During the presentation Sean Elphick of Out West Live, LLC said his company had submitted a bid, had spent as much as $60,000 in rental fees, and asked the court to reconsider the recommendation, arguing the county should recognize that prior investment.
